Class of 2018 recruit Brooke Adkisson has committed to the Texas A&M Corpus Christi beach volleyball program. A senior in high school, Adkisson will graduate and head to the school before her first season arrives with the team in 2019.
Adkisson plays indoors at Claudia Taylor Johnson High School in San Antonio, Texas. For a team that went 26-15, the 5’9″ Adkisson was a versatile player who could play outside hitter, defensive specialist and libero. She recorded 201 digs (1.9 per set), 42 kills (0.4 per set) and 22 aces (0.2 per set) this past season according to her MaxPreps profile.
On the club circuit is where Adkisson gets her experience in the sand, as she plays for 210 Beach Volleyball. She was a bit of a late bloomer in terms of her joining the beach game, but picked it up quickly in earning a Division I commitment.
Texas A&M Corpus Christi is in the midst of a 1-3 start to their 2018 season as they try to build on a 1-16 year in 2017. They don’t have any seniors on the roster that would be on pace to graduate come the end of the season.
