Class of 2019 outside hitter and right side Carly Peck has committed to the University of North Carolina women’s volleyball program.
A varsity player since her freshman year at Providence High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, Peck is in her senior year. As a junior she logged 209 kills (2.7 per set) on a .231 mark, 82 digs (1.1 per set), 18 aces (0.2 per set) and 9 blocks (0.1). One year prior, she had per set numbers of 2.9 kills (.345), 1.0 digs and 0.5 blocks.
Meanwhile in terms of club ball, Peck plays with Carolina Union Volleyball Club. Highlight video of her play can be seen below via YouTube:
Peck becomes the third class of 2019 commitment for North Carolina that has been registered in the VolleyMob Recruiting Database. She joins DS/L Karenna Wurl and DS/L Olivia Diaz as freshmen-to-be come the fall of 2019.
North Carolina is off to a 5-12 start to the 2018 season and a 1-7 mark in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Last season they went 14-14 (11-9, ACC). They also have six players who can fill the left side and five on the right pin with one player (who fits both categories) graduating prior to Peck’s arrival in 2019.
