Class of 2020 defensive specialist/libero Samantha Anthony has pledged her collegiate intentions to the University of Oklahoma women’s volleyball program in the Big 12.

Anthony will be a junior once the new school year starts at Fairview High School in Boulder, Colorado. As a sophomore – her second season of varsity ball – she logged 159 digs (4.3 per set), 20 assists (0.5 per set), 16 aces (0.4 per set) and five kills while notching a .949 reception percentage according to her MaxPreps profile. She was also voted the team’s Defensive Player of the Year.

Standing at 5’6.5″, Anthony plays with NORCO Volleyball on the club circuit – more specifically the NORCO 15 Black team. More of her accomplishments as well as video highlights of her play can be seen below via YouTube:

Oklahoma finished 2017 at 7-22 overall and 4-12 in the Big 12, good for a sixth-place tie. They underwent a head coaching change over the offseason, with former Kentucky assistant Lindsey Gray-Walton now at the helm for the Sooners and snagging Anthony out of Colorado.
