Class of 2020 MB Kylie Loftis Commits to VCU

Class of 2020 middle blocker Kylie Loftis has verbally committed to the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) women’s volleyball program.

Loftis is in her junior season and attends Martin High School in Arlington, Texas. Last year as a sophomore with the school’s varsity team, she notched 177 kills (1.4 per set) on a .279 hitting percentage, 121 blocks (1.0 per set), 41 digs (0.3 per set) and 12 assists (0.1 per set) according to her MaxPreps profile. She’s also a member of the varsity basketball team.

In terms of club ball, Loftis plays with ACE Volleyball. Last season she was specifically with the ACE 16 Under Armour Black team. Highlight video of her play can be seen below via YouTube:

The video also notes that Loftis stands at 6’0″ tall with a 7’8″ standing reach, a 9’9″ standing jump and a 10’1″ approach touch.

VCU is off to a 7-7 start to the 2018 season with a 2-0 mark as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference. In 2017, they collected a 30-3 record and won the A-10 en route to an NCAA Tournament appearance.
