Class of 2020 recruit Briana McKnight has committed to the UC Santa Barbara women’s indoor volleyball program. Standing at 5’10”, McKnight is a sophomore outside hitter who will join the Gauchos for the fall of 2020 season.
An attendee of Xavier College Prep in Phoenix, Arizona, McKnight helped her scchool to a 40-3 finish in which they won the state championship and rank number one in Arizona.
Individually, McKnight helped carry the load of the offense and racked up 404 kills (3.6 per set) on a .263 mark to go with 286 digs (2.5 per set), 58 aces (0.5 per set) and 23 blocks (0.2 per set) according to her MaxPreps profile.
McKnight also plays for Aspire Volleyball Club – specifically the Aspire 16-Rox team. She owns a 7’3″ standing reach, a 9’3″ block jump and a 9’8″ approach jump. She’s also listed as being ambidextrous. Her entire club page can be seen here.
UCSB is coming off of an 8-20 season in 2017 in which they went 7-8 playing in the Big West conference.
