Class of 2020 outside hitter and defensive specialist/libero Grayson Schirpik has committed to play for the Texas Christian University (TCU) women’s volleyball program.
A junior at Rouse High School in Leander, Texas, Schirpik is in the midst of the postseason for her third varsity season with the Raiders. To this point, she has logged 399 kills (3.3 per set) on a .280 hitting percentage, 627 digs (5.2 per set), 57 aces (0.5 per set) and 27 blocks (0.2 per set) per her MaxPreps page.
Standing at 5’9″, Schirpik is on pace to surpass 1,000 kills and 2,000 digs for her career at Rouse High School in her senior season. As a sophomore, she also helped the school to a state runner-up finish. Also on that team was a current TCU player in breakout freshman star elan McCall.
Per the VolleyMob Recruiting Database, Schirpik becomes the second class of 2020 commitment registered for the Horned Frogs. She will join DS/L Alyssa Heist as a freshman come the fall of 2020.
TCU is 12-9 so far in 2018 with a 4-6 record as a member of the Big 12. Their roster currently consists of three defensive specialists/liberos and five outside hitters, with two freshmen, five sophomores and one senior making up the positions.
