The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns’ women’s volleyball program has made an addition to its recruiting class for 2020 with the recent commitment of Abby Lynn, a 5’10” setter.
Back in March, Lynn was named to the PrepVolleyball’s Top 79 Sophomore List as Elite Honorable Mention.
Lynn is a junior now at St. Francis Borgia High School in Washington, Missouri. As a sophomore on varsity last year, she notched 618 assists (8.6 per set), 188 digs (2.6 per set), 72 kills (1.0 per set), 32 blocks (0.4 per set) and 24 aces (0.3 per set) according to her MaxPreps profile.
On the club circuit, Lynn plays with Rockwood Thunder. She owns a 7’6″ standing reach, a 9’3″ block touch and a 9’7″ approach jump due to her 25 inch vertical.
Yesterday it was noted that Louisiana had also drawn a commitment from a class of 2019 commit to give them two that have been registered in the VolleyMob Recruiting Database. Lynn also gives them a second for their class of 2020, joining Taylor Gates.
Louisiana is 10-10 so far in 2018, including a 2-4 record in the Sun Belt. Their roster features five players who can fill in at setter (three full-time), with one senior.
Congrats to 16 Mizuno’s Abby Lynn who has committed to play volleyball at the University of Louisiana Lafayette! Abby was named the eMissourian Player of the Week along with leading Borgia to 17 wins this season! Congrats Abby! #rtvbc #collegebound #classof2020 @RaginCajunsVB pic.twitter.com/3sEbGL7vOB
