Eight Teams Announced To Compete In Newly Formed NVA

It was recently announced that the United States will be starting their own volleyball league called the National Volleyball Association. The league will begin with just men’s squads that will showcase their talents from December 8-10 at the “Pro League Showcase” at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Eight of the top club teams from around the country will highlight the showcase that will eventually turn into a league at a later date.

The Teams

Some of the bigger names on the team come from Team Pineapple in Lloy Ball who played with the United States national team from 1993-2008, helping the Americans to the gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. On Blizzard Volleyball, former U.S. National Teamer Russell Holmes will be getting back into the game with the Southern California based squad. While on Academy United, profound beach player, Taylor Crabb will take his talents back to the indoor court for the coming season.
