Evansville has taken the time and the money to renovate their facility to be one of the more top-of-the-line facilities in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Purple Aces have invested more than $700,000 to make improvements to the Meeks Family Fieldhouse that shares their space with the women’s basketball squad.
This season, Evansville has a 10-14 record and are 4-8 in the Missouri Valley Conference. The team has just six more matches left in the season, dour being away matches and two more being played in their new facility.

The renovations began over the summer, beginning with replacing the old basketball hoops on June 4th.
Just three weeks later, they finished their renovation of their brand new bleachers – enhancing the purple color and feel in the gym. The middle section of the bleachers also had chairbacks installed.
On June 23, just three days after the installation of the purple bleachers, the facilities scoreboard on the south side was installed while the remainder was put in by June 26.
The next step in their renovation process was to sand down and repaint their court. This process took nearly a month for Evansville to complete to make sure that it was up to par and had the look and feel that they were going for.
The final step in the process was to complete the volleyball look for the facility by adding the Taraflex floor. It was the same type of flooring that was used during the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and is used in a number of other top NCAA volleyball programs. The Taraflex flooring helps with shock absorption and overall comfort on the court which translates into helping prevent short and long-term injuries.
The court was dedicated as the Lois D. Patton Court back in September.
