Four Volleyball Players Killed In India Based On Prior Dispute

Four volleyball players in India, including a member of the national junior volleyball team, have been killed based on a prior dispute between the two parties involved.

The victims belonged to the Khagaria district in Bihar where they had a minor dispute with someone during a volleyball match. The person the players had a dispute with later planned the murders of too be victims. The murder lured the players on the pretext that they would be playing in another match for reward money. Once they arrived at the designated location, they were served food and alcohol but one inebriated they were taken to the bank of Ganga, beaten and then shot dead one by one before being thrown into the river in a packed bag.

The victim’s parents filed a missing person report, as they were to return home shortly after the match they were going to play.

Police picked up one suspect that told them the entire story that led them to the river where the bodies were disposed of, finding blood stained clothes. None of the bodies have been recovered yet, but police are using divers to recover the bodies.

According to police, there are around six people that were accomplices to the murder of the four players.

It is unknown the names of the victims but will update when we have that information.
