GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgia Tech’s Kodie Comby has been named ACC Volleyball Player of the Week, and teammate Mariana Brambilla has earned Freshman of the Week distinction.
Comby played a key role in the Yellow Jacket’s two wins over SEC opponents last weekend. The junior middle blocker from Houston posted a total hitting percentage of .484 in wins over Georgia and Arkansas at home. Comby averaged 2.11 kills per set, 1.56 blocks per set and racked up 19 kills and 14 total blocks.
Brambilla recorded a double-double in each of the two matches Georgia Tech played on the weekend. The rookie outside hitter from Porto Alegre, Brazil, recorded 3.33 kills per set and 2.89 digs per set across both games. Brambilla racked up 27 total kills and 26 total digs on the weekend.
