After two seasons with Missouri, 6-2 middle blocker Hao Jin transfers to Stetson for the 2017 season.
The to-be junior from China will have two years of eligibility left.
Jin is following Deng Yang, who was a 17 year coaching veteran at Missouri, who recently took the head coaching position with Stetson.
During her freshman campaign Jin competed in nine matches, recording 12 kills and seven blocks while hitting for .407. She was named to the 2015-2016 SEC First-Year Honor Roll. In her sophomore season, Jin only saw action in two matches – seeing her team to the SEC Championship and a Sweet 16 appearance.
Prior to attending Missouri, Jin helped Hebei Province (China) to back-to-back first place finishes in 2013 and 2014 at the Middle School Volleyball Games. Her 2013 Hebei team was among the top four middle school volleyball teams across all of China.
Jin joins Stetson as the third signee for the 2017 season – joining to-be freshmen Jenna Boland and Riley Nieporte, who signed their National Letters of Intent in the fall of 2016.
Last season, Stetson went 4-25 and 1-13 in MAAC play, ending the season on an 11 match losing streak.
