Hyundai Capital Skywalkers Take First In South Korean Men’s V League

Hyundai Capital Skywalkers was able to take the top spot in the South Korean men’s V League over KAL Jumbos.

The best-of-three series took all three matches to determine a winner, with KAL Jumbos taking the first match victory in four sets 3-1, (12-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-18). KAL Jumbos got off to a rocky start in the first set of the match, with the Skywalkers dominating them 25-12. That didn’t stop them from turning things around to take the next three sets and the 1-0 advantage in the series.

The second match went in the way of the Skywalkers, as they rolled through KAL Jumbos to a three set sweep 3-0, (26-24, 30-28, 25-19). Though, it was a match sweep, the Skywalkers had to work to win the match, with two sets needing extra points to determine a winner.

In the third and deciding set of the series, the Skywalkers were able to forge ahead to take the V League championship in a four set match 3-1, (24-26, 27-25, 25-22, 25-20). The champions had to make a comeback after the first set loss but were able to pull it together to defeat KAL Jumbos 2-1 in the series.
