II Bisonte Firenze Discontinues Use Of Video Appeal

After some problems using video appeal, II Bisonte Firenze has announced they will discontinue using the system in their matches going forward.

In the teams match against Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio, the video appeal system provided a less-than-clear picture of what was needed to be challenged. The second referee in the match also did not allow a second video check that was available to Marco Bracci in the tie-breaker set. This proved to be a costly event for Firenze as they dropped the fifth set 15-11, falling to 2-6 on the year.

The reaction after the match led to the end of the challenge system for Firenze as they were not granted their right to the video replay, they have chosen to eliminate it altogether.

Firenze is sitting in ninth place after eight matches in the Italian women’s league, right on the cusp of being in the playoffs come that time of the year. On the other hand, Busto Arsizio is 6-2 on the year and holding onto fourth place in the league handily.
