Iowa State’s Genesis Miranda won big on her senior night, as her final match at Hilton Coliseum ended with a win and a proposal. Joel Huertas surprised Miranda on her senior night as he went down on one knee, pulled out a ring and popped the question – to which Miranda said yes.

The proposal was then capped off with a three-set win over Texas Tech where Miranda posted one service ace in the win.

Miranda started off her play career with Evansville, where she stood out in the conference following an impressive high school career. Wanting more, Miranda transferred to Iowa State to finish off her career. With the Cyclones, Miranda has posted 169 kills, with 58 this season and 142 kills in the two seasons.

With the win over the Red Raiders, the Cyclones will await their shot at an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. Iowa State went 21-6 this season along with an 11-5 Big 12 conference record. They will learn their fate later tonight, as the NCAA Tournament Selection Show will begin at 9 PM ET on ESPNU.
