McKenzie Adams, an outside hitter playing for Aachen in Germany, will remain with the team for the 2017-18 season.

Though Adams had many offers from other teams in the Bundesliga and abroad, she wanted to remain in Aachen to continue what the team was building from the prior season. Adams was one of the top scorers for the Aachen team in the 2016-17 season, finding ways to bring the ball to the court for the team.

The team’s Sports Director, Sebastian Gutgesell, said, “We are, of course, proud that McKenzie has chosen Aachen, where she can continue her successful path – supported by our team of coaches – and is an important part of our team.”

In another perspective on the return of Adams to the team, coach Saskia van Hintum commented that her strong personality is a strong factor for the team and their success, saying she will help further establish the team in the Bundesliga for the following season.

This past season, Aachen made it to the Bundesliga’s quarterfinal round before being taken out by the eventual champions, Schwerin.
