It has been a tough couple of weeks Saugella Team Monza‘s Luciano Pedulla – as he was in a car accident on his way home from the team’s loss to myCicero Pesaro and thought to have resigned from his coaching post.

The resignation talk, of course, was rumored as Pedulla is back with the team after missing one match due to the car accident. The talk of Pedulla resigning came after he missed a match following a loss in the Samsung Galaxy Volley Cup Women’s A1 League.

The match that Pedulla missed was a four-set victory for Monza over Filottrano who is just 1-7 on the year and sits in 11th place just ahead of Bergamo.

The team is currently preparing to take on the 2016 Italian League champions, Igor Gorgonzola Novara this Sunday. It has been a tough season for Monza in the Italian League as they have a 3-5 record so far and sit in seventh place overall. It is, however, starting off better than 2016, as they concluded last season in 10th place and a 7-15 overall record. This kept them out of the playoffs, where they would then end their season early and have to wait to pick things back up.
