Laura Ludwig Expecting Baby In June 2018, Will Sit Out Season

It was a Christmas miracle for 2016 Rio beach Olympian Laura Ludwig this year as she announced on her Facebook that she would be taking the 2018 beach season off because she is pregnant.

May wrapped up both the NCAA men’s and beach seasons, kicked off the AVP Tour and crowned champions in the Russian Super League, Polish League and Women’s Club World Championship among others.

April was full of international club championships, hirings in the collegiate and international ranks and streaks in the men’s and beach games leading up to conference championships on both sides. Both USC beach and the team’s No. 1 pair Kelly Claes and Sara Hughes kept streaks rolling until late in the season en route to Pac-12 titles.

Sarah Pavan Parts Ways With Pomi Casalmaggiore To Focus On Beach

Pavan has decided to part ways with the club to focus on beach volleyball, as the 2018 FIVB World Tour season is set to really begin with a tournament in the Hague at the beginning of January.
