After recently terminating her contract with Turkish Club, Sariyer, Nicole Fawcett has made a deal with Imoco Volley Conegliano in Italy.

Imoco had to react quickly after the team lost two to injuries, Carolina Costagrande and Berenika Tomsia. Fawcett returns back to Europe faster than she originally thought she would, as she just played with Sariyer just days ago in Istanbul.

“We have suffered a series of injuries that have limited the rotation, so it seemed right becasue there was a chance to insert a new element with the team, and we selected Nicole Fawcett, a big player in the prime of maturity that will give us a big hand,” said club president Piero Garbellotto.

Fawcett had a heartbreaking 2016, being removed from the U.S. National team just weeks before the 2016 Rio Olympic Games after being a part of the team since 2009. Signing with this team is a new, positive step for Fawcett in her remaining playing career.
