The Ohio State women’s volleyball team is set to begin their spring season competition on April 1 when they head to the Circle City Invitational in Indianapolis. The Buckeyes, coming off their fifth NCAA Sweet 16 appearance since 2010, will begin full spring season training this Monday with the first official practice March 6, until their final spring practice, April 22. In addition to team practices at St. John Arena, the Buckeyes are scheduled to play against several universities.
Following their spring season opener at the Circle City Invitational, the team will stay in town for a battle against the University of Cincinnati inside the Columbus Convention Center (April 8). Ohio State then heads down to Athens, Ohio on April 14 to play the Ohio University Bobcats, who were Mid-American Conference (MAC) Tournament semifinalists this past year.
Ohio State will return to Columbus the following Thursday for their final spring match on April 20 against in-state opponent, Miami University. The match will be played inside the friendly confines of St. John Arena. Last season the Redhawks were MAC Tournament runners-up and East Division champions.
