Rexona-Sesc Rio runs past Bangkok Glass

Rio advances to play for the fifth place spot with the sweep of Bangkok, 25-19, 25-15, 25-20.

Manique Marinho Pavoa put down 10 kills and three blocks for Rio. Anne Buijs added seven kills, one block and one ace, while Gabriela Braga Guimaraes chipped in seven kills.

For Bangkok, Wilavan Apinyapong had 10 kill, while Thi Ngoc Hoa Nguyen added seven kills and one block. Jutarat Montripila and Ashley Frazier each added six in the effort.

Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul defeats VakifBank Istanbul

After sitting their start players against PSL-F2 Logistics Manila, VitrA brought out all the stops for VakifBank, defeating them in four sets, 25-23, 19-25, 25-17, 25-23.

Leading the way for VitrA, Tijana Boskovic put down 17 kills, two blocks and three aces. Tatiana Kosheleva added 11 kils and two blocks, while Thaisa Daher Pallesi had nine kills, two blocks and one ace.

Ting Zhu had a big night in the losing effort for VakifBank, with 20 kills, two blocks and one ace. Lonneke Sloetjes added 10 kills and Gozde Kirdar had seven.

Hisamitsu Springs Kobe took down host PSL-F2 Logistics Manila

Hisamitsu will play Rexona-Sesc Rio for fifth place after three set sweep of Manila, 25-15, 25-18, 25-21.

Yuki Ishii put down 13 kills for Hisamitsu, adding three aces to her tally. Risa Shinnabe had 14 kills and Miyu Nagaoka added nine.

For the host squad, Lindsay Stalzer had 10 kills, one block and four aces. Behind her was Stephanie Niemer with six kills and one block.

Pomi Casalmaggiore pulls off win against Volero Zurich

Pomi pulled off the stunning four set victory over previously unbeaten Volero, 25-27, 25-23, 25-17, 25-23.

The reigning European champions set up a showdown against Eczasibasi VitrA for first place.

Samantha Fabris put down big numbers for Pomi in the victory with 22 kills and one ace. Lucia Bosetti added 12 kills, three blocks and one ace.

Olesia Rykhliuk had 14 kills, one block and four aces, while Foluke Akinradewo pitched in 16 kills and three blocks in the Volero effort.
