After 3-0 weekends for both, Notre Dame’s Rebecca Nunge and Miami (FL)’s Haley Templeton took home split honors for the ACC Player of the Week award.

Nunge, a junior outside hitter for the Fighting Irish, totaled 29 kills and had just two errors on 63 swings, leading to a .429 hitting percentage. Additionally, she added nine blocks and six digs, as she won the BGSU/Toledo Invitational MVP with her team winning the invite.

Joining Nunge was Templeton, a redshirt junior setter for the Hurricanes. She also won a tournament MVP with her team claiming the Sunshine State Classic over three Florida schools. Leading the offense, she netted 128 assists (11.64 per set), 16 digs, 13 kills and seven blocks.

The final ACC awardee of the week was Ester Talamazzi, a freshman at Virginia Tech originally from Italy. As a freshman, Talamazzi took home the ACC Freshman of the Week award. The first-year outside hitter continued the trend of players winning their tournament MVP, as her Hokies won the A-State Invitational Tournament. In total she racked up 38 kills and 28 digs for the weekend, with 14 of the kills and 16 of the digs coming in one match.
