QUOTABLES

HEAD COACH KADDIE PLATT
On scrimmage

“It was a good scrimmage. Being able to play in front of people brings an added pressure that was very beneficial for our young players to get accustom to. We are a little bit deeper than we’ve been so we were also able to take the opportunity to play with some of those options.”

On heading into exhibition against Rice

“This is the first year we’ve been able to do this so it is a really good opportunity for us to be able to go at it against another team before we open our season. We look forward to going and playing at Rice on Friday. You get that added energy of playing against someone other than yourselves, so once again it will be good for our young players to get that experience.”
