Poland’s strongest men’s team Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle are further establishing themselves as the most competitive team in their country’s league.

The team has recently won nine of their last ten matches, this coming without a key player for Zaksa’s Kevin Tille. Tille is out for several weeks with a knee injury. He has been replaced by a rising star for the team in Kamil Semeniuk.

“We do not want to focus on titles. We have set clear goals both domestically as well as when it comes to our participation in the CEV Volleyball Champions League and we are committed to achieving these goals,” said the chairman of the Polish Club and former volleyball star Sebastian Swiderski.

Up until December 17, the squad was winning games in three sets consistently, when Asseco Resovia challenged them into a five set match up. Late in the fifth, Asseco Resovia took a lead and took the match from Zaksa.

The team’s next match comes to Espadon Szczecin on December 30 on their home court.
