Brankica Mihajlovic has decided to take her volleyball talents to the Japanese V-League and join JT Marvelous for the 2017-18 season. The Serbian national team member was deemed the Best Outside Hitter at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games where Serbia finished in second place behind China.
At the 2016 Olympic Games, Mihajlovic posted 121 points in the competition on 110 kills, six blocks and five aces.
In a comment to JT Marvelous, Mihajlovic said, “I am very pleased to join JT Marvelous. I want to win as many titles as possible, so there can be a new trophy for JT Marvelous.”
Mihajlovic has been around in the volleyball scene since 2006 when she joined her first club, VC Jedinstvo Brcko, staying there until 2009. From there Mihajlovic went to Volero Zurich from 2009-11, Hyundai Hillstate from 2011-12, RC Cannes 2012-13, Unilever 2013-14, Volero Zurich 2014, Hisamitsu Springs 2014-15, Fenerbahce 2015-16 and finally Tianjin Bridgestone from 2016-17.
