Thanks to a grant from MotorMVB, two more NAIA schools will add men’s volleyball.
The semifinals are now set for the 2017 NORCECA Men’s World Qualifier with Mexico taking on the Dominican Republic while Team USA will go up against Canada.
Four matches took place at the 2017 NORCECA Men’s World Qualifier on day one, with Team USA rocketing past Guatemala in straight sets.

Team USA hands the World League’s champions a 3-0 loss. They are now in first place of the round robin tournament with two games still left to go. Meanwhile, Brazil and Italy won their games, and trail the American team closely in the standings.
The game is a must-win for Team USA’s title hopes. Meanwhile, Brazil will battle leaders Iran, while Italy and Japan close out the day in Osaka.
Iran adds another chapter to its up and coming volleyball resume, coming from behind 2-0 to hand Team USA its first defeat of the tournament.
Matthew Anderson ushered USA’s opening day straight-set (25-21, 25-18, 25-13) win over hosts Japan. Brazil and Iran also came out victorious.
