2017 NORCECA Women’s World Qualifier

Canada will host a portion of the 2017 NORCECA Women’s World Qualifier at the Langley Event Centre from September 28-30. The tournament will host four teams that are competing for a spot at the 2018 World Championships. The top two teams at the tournament will earn their tickets to the World Championships that will take place in Japan next October.
In Pool B are Canada, Cuba, Nicaragua and St. Lucia. Of the four teams, Canada and Cuba are set out to be the favorites to advance to the championships next year.

There will be two other groups that play for spots in the World Championship but will be played in different locations on different dates. Pool A will be held in the Dominican Republic from October 11-16 while Pool C is in Trinidad and Tobago from October 4-9.
Pool A – Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Jamaica
Pool C – Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico, Costa Rica
In all pools, the team’s will be determined by overall recorded, followed by points, point ratio and set ratio.
