After winning all six of their matches this week, UCLA’s Nicole McNamara and Megan McNamara have been named the AVCA Beach Pair of the Week.
The duo helped the Bruins to the win over then-#1 Pepperdine before the team headed off to the Surf & Turf Invitational in Miami, Florida. The remainder of their schedule saw the McNamara twins win their matches over five nationally ranked teams – #7 Florida State, #8 South Carolina, #11 Grand Canyon, #12 Florida International and #18 Florida Atlantic.
The McNamara twins lost just one set for the entire week against Florida State’s Vanessa Freire/Sara Putt, winning in a tough third set battle 15-13 to claim the victory.
