The USC women’s volleyball program will play in four spring tournaments including two at the Galen Center Practice Pavilion head coach Mick Haley announced on Thursday, March 23.
The Women of Troy get their first taste of spring ball at the Long Beach Spring Tournament on Saturday, March 25. USC will face Cal State Fullerton, San Diego State, Long Beach State, and Arizona in matches at 9 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. PT.
USC hosts a home tournament on Saturday, April 1, in the Galen Center Practice Pavilion and welcomes Azusa Pacific, Fresno State, Pepperdine, and Cal State Fullerton for matches at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m.
The Trojans host a second home tournament on Friday, April 14, with visiting teams still to be determined; and will complete spring play with a tournament at UC Irvine on Saturday, April 22. Teams and schedules for the final two tourneys are still being finalized.
The Women of Troy earned a program-record 26th consecutive berth into the NCAA tournament (34th overall appearance) and finished 2016 with an 18-14 overall record. USC was 10-10 in Pac-12 matches and finished in a tie for seventh place. The Trojans won three of their four pre-conference tournaments and became the 17th NCAA Division I program to cross the 1,000 all-time victories threshold with a win over Arizona State on Oct. 5. Haley earned his 400th win as the Trojans’ head coach.
