Utah’s Adora Anae Notches AVCA Division I Player Of The Week

This week’s AVCA Player of the Week comes out of Utah in Adora Anae as she helped the Utes to a 2-0 week with wins at Washington and Washington State.

On the week, Anae slammed down an average of 5.00 kills per set on a .250 hitting clip while picking up 3.00 digs per set. In the team’s five-set win against Washington, Anae recorded a match-best 25 kills while picking up 11 digs and three blocks. Against Washington State, Anae notched another 20 kill performance with 16 digs for her second double-double of the week.

Additionally, Anae became Utah’s all-time leader in kills with 1,635. The mark was set by First-Team All-American, Kim Turner, who played from 2000-03 and had 1,620 in her career.

Anae is the second Ute to earn the prestigious award with Brenda Barton-Whicker earning the award in 1997 – over 20 years ago.
