Watch Live: Russia Hopes To Fault China’s Run At Grand Champions Cup

2017 WORLD GRAND CHAMPIONS CUP

China remains the only unbeaten team at the 2017 FIVB Women’s World Grand Champions Cup, while Russia is just 1-2. This will be the fourth encounter for the teams at the tournament with China holding the 2-1 match lead. The match between the two squads will be the 100th of the World Grand Champions Cup in its history.

The most recent meeting between the two teams came at the 2017 World Grand Champions Cup, China won in the first week while Russia came back to take the Chinese down in their second encounter.

Russia had the 2-1 set advantage against the American crew in their day three loss, but Team USA fought back to take the match 3-2. Despite the loss, Nataliya Goncharova and Tatiana Kosheleva put down 27 and 25 points, respectively, in the match.

China swept through Korea in a breeze in their third match of the competition, with the Koreans not scoring over 15 points in any of the sets. Zhang Changning led the team with 15 points.
