The latest American Athletic Conference awards are out and the conference leader, Wichita State, collected another award with middle blocker Abbie Lehman. Joining Lehman on the award list was a team behind the Shockers in second of the conference in Brittany Adams of SMU.

Lehman, a senior, helped Wichita State to another unbeaten week, as they’ve done every chance they’ve gotten this season. This is also her second straight honor after winning the offensive award last week. Her 15 blocks (1.88 per set) allows her to switch which award she wins this week though, even though she also added 4.12 kills per set for the week.

This week’s AAC Offensive Player of the Week is SMU junior outside hitter Brittany Adams. It was a pair of victories for the Mustangs as she posted 4.14 kills, 3.14 digs and 5.07 points per set. 13 of those kills came against Cincinnati before 16 more against ECU in the wis, as she hit .364 in the ladder.
