Twitter is a wonderful tool for celebrities and public figures to reach their audience directly and without filter, to share the news of the day, and to make connections around the world.
For college student athletes, however, it’s a good way to give one’s coaches headaches and pause to reconsider their life decisions.
Below, watch as coaches at Xavier University in Ohio, including head women’s volleyball coach Christy Pfeffenberger, read their athletes’ Tweets. As it turns out, the women’s volleyball team is pretty amusing, and maybe a little gross. Among the gems from volleyballers included in the video are:

Redshirt senior opposite Sofia Peterson has become one of our new favorite follows on Twitter.
Xavier finished their 2016 season with a 20-13 record overall, including 13-5 in Big East Conference play. They advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament, where they lost to top-seeded Creighton 3-0.
