The #1 VolleyMob ranked Florida Gators took down Florida A&M in straight sets while hitting for .311 and keeping their opponents to a -.009 hitting clip.

The Gators started things off with an 11-4 run that was riddled with A&M errors. Florida continued to grow their lead to 19-7 which included three straight kills from Carli Snyder. A&M held off two set points but a Rhamat Alhassan kill put the Gators ahead 1-0 in the match off a 25-14 first set score.

Set two was a close battle to start things off, as the score was tied at 8-8 before Florida rattled off three points on A&M attack errors. The lead continued to expand as Florida soon led 20-14. A four-point run for A&M put things within two at 20-18. A&M again held off two set points on Candelaria Herrera and Maria Yvette Garcia kills, before Alhassan ended the set 25-21.

A 6-0 Florida run began the third set, which they expanded on holding A&M to a 25-9 third set score to complete the sweep.

Snyder led the Gators with 12 kills, three aces and nine digs while Alhassan followed with nine kills and eight blocks. Caroline Knop picked up a match-best 16 digs while Allie Gregory picked up another 11.

For A&M, Garcia and Nicole Abreu led with seven kills apiece while Abreu also picked up 13 digs in the loss.
