17 CEV Countries Will Host Nationals Championships In Snow Volleyball

17 countries across Europe have expressed that they will hold a national championship in snow volleyball to be able to qualify teams for the first ever CEV Snow Volleyball European Championships. The championships will take place from March 23-25, 2018.

Snow volleyball is a new and emerging sport across Europe, with a long list of events taking place this season. With the addition of 17 countries across Europe, it has increasingly shown the growth of the sport over the past few years.

The European Championships will take place in Austria in Wagrain-Kleinarl, the birthplace of snow volleyball.

On top of the national championships, there are a number of other tournaments that will be held throughout Europe. These competitions will begin on January 12, 2018, and conclude on March 18, 2018, just days prior to the European Championships.

  • Latvia
  • Germany
  • Norway
  • Slovakia
  • Slovenia
  • Switzerland
  • Ukraine
  • Armenia
  • Croatia
  • Georgia
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  • Lithuania
  • Turkey
  • Russia

Some of the championships have already taken place, such as Russia’s but many extend out until March in preparation for the European Championships. Below is the national championship calendar for snow volleyball.
