2019 Recruit Kristen Kleymeyer Commits to Houston Baptist Beach

Class of 2019 recruit Kristen Kleymeyer has committed to the Houston Baptist University (HBU) Beach Volleyball program. Kleymeyer’s freshman season would therefore come in the spring of 2020.

Her AVP profile from her play in the beach can be seen here. The page notes that she won the AVP First – Austin for tier four in Girls 18U in June. She also collected a second-place finish in the May event. Some video of her play in the sand can be seen below via YouTube:

A senior at Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas, Kleymeyer stands at 5’8″. She plays for the school’s varsity team and is in her third year with the squad. She plays both outside hitter and defensive specialist.

So far this season, according to her MaxPreps profile, she has notched 262 kills (3.2 per set) on a .169 hitting percentage, 281 digs (3.5 per set), 36 blocks (0.4 per set) and 23 aces (0.3 per set). She was on the All-Tournament team at the 2018 John Turner Classic.
