Road trips are a unique experience, a chance for teams to bond and come together without many of the distractions that come with home games. Among those experiences is the opportunity to experience new places and learn new things.
Like the grocery store. And what “sashimi” is.
During a recent road trip, Stanford Athletics’ cameras followed redshirt senior Inky Ajanaku and sophomore Halland McKenna on a trip to a grocery store.
Among the topics covered include Halland, from Laguna Beach, California, explaining to Inky, from Tulsa, Oklahoma, the difference between sushi and sashimi.
In their last outing, Ajanaku tallied 11 kills on just 14 attacks against Washington for a whopping .786 hitting percentage as Stanford beat #7 Washington 3-0: their second-straight sweep over a top 25 opponent.
Enjoy the pair’s off-the-court show below, and enjoy their next on-the-court performance on Friday at 6:00 PM local time as they host #18 Washington State (video here).
