For the third year in a row, Dinamo Krasnodar has had financial issues that have kept their players and staff unpaid for a large period of time. This time, the club has been unable to pay anyone for three months.
This happened at the beginning of this year when the club lost one of their stronger players in Ivan Komarov due to the financial situation. The club was even in the thoughts of bankruptcy at the time as they were unable to pay out more than 70 million rubles (1,179,963.40 USD) which was the amount they were supposed to receive from another club, but it was not enough to cover all their fees. The fees at this time spanned over a seven month period.
Over the 2015-16 season, it was a full nine-month period that the club was unable to pay their players with this year creeping up slowly to another meltdown for the club. From last season, players did not receive compensation from July 2016 until February 2017.
Now, with the beginning of the new season on August 1, no player has been paid and players that have had contracts since last season have not been paid their funds since June.
