The PAC-12 is taking over the AVCA Coaches Poll, challenging the Big Ten with 5 teams in the Top 25. The first five leaders in the conference, Stanford, Washington, UCLA, Oregon and Utah, are taking over the top spots within the conference as well. The Big Ten is still claiming the top three spots in the Top 25. The Big 12 has a new conference leader in Kansas, with Texas right behind them at No. 2 in the Big 12. Over in the Atlantic Coast Conference, North Carolina is still in first place, but Florida State dropped to No. 3 in the conference standings as Duke jumped to the second slot. Why were some conferences excluded from this list (i.e., Big Sky, Big West, Western Athletic, etc.)? Just curious.
Hey Rory, we’ve focused on the top conferences for this report that our audience might be most interested in, but if you think there is interest in those other conferences, we’d be happy to include them in future reports!
