Mitch Kallick announced his resignation as head coach of the University of Hartford volleyball team, Director of Athletics Mary Ellen Gillespie announced on Monday.
“I want to thank Mitch for his service to the University of Hartford and for his leadership of our program over the past three years” said Gillespie. “This was not an easy decision for him, but we support him and wish him the very best as he begins a new endeavor.”
Hartford will start a national search for its next head volleyball coach immediately.
“It has been an honor and a privilege to be the head coach of the Hartford volleyball program these past three seasons,” Kallick said. “The foundation exists to achieve any goal the program sets for itself, both in the immediate and distant futures.”
Hired in 2015 as the 10th volleyball coach in the history of the program, Kallick posted a 14-67 record in three seasons with the Hawks, including a 7-29 mark in America East play. Seven Hawks were named America East All-Conference during Kallick’s tenure (four All-Academic Team; three All-Rookie Team).
