The first four matches of the Chooks-2-Go Philippine Superliga Grand Prix have concluded with some tough matches unfolding early.
Generika-Ayala and Sta Lucia have already competed in two early matches in the competition while Cignal, Foton, Cocolife and Petron have one set foot on the court once. This also leaves Smart and F2 Logistics to have yet to see court time in the competition.

- Foton def. Generika-Ayala 3-1, (25-19, 22-25, 25-16, 25-22)
Foton started things off right with a four-set win over Generika-Ayala. American Brooke Kranda led the Tornadoes to victory with 21 points, while Dindin Santiago-Manabat returned from a left knee injury to put down 14 points while Elizabeth Wendel added another 11.

- Petron def. Sta Lucia 3-1, (25-21, 18-25, 25-17, 25-20)
Lindsey Stalzer and Hillary Hurley led Petron to their four-set victory over Sta Lucia in their opening match of the PSL Grand Prix. Stalzer posted 30 points, including 22 kills, 6 aces and 2 blocks, while Hurley added another 18.

- Sta Lucia def. Generika-Ayala 3-2, (21-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-15, 15-7)
Leading Sta Lucia to victory was Bohdana Anisova with 28 points in the win while MJ Philipps ended the match with 22. This was the first victory in the PSL Grand Prix from Sta Lucia after a four-set loss to Petron while Generika-Ayala remains winless.

- Cignal def. Cocolife 3-0, (25-15, 28-26, 25-15)
American Jeanne Horton made a huge splash in her opening match of the PSL Grand Prix as she put down 24 points, including 19 kills and 5 aces in Cignal’s win over Cocolife. Additionally, Sonja Milanovic added another 16 points in the win.

Competition Format
There are two preliminary rounds of the competition with Round 1 being a single round-robin play, where everyone plays each other once. Round 2 will be redistributed into two pools:
Pool A – Rank 1, Rank 3, Rank 6, Rank 8
Pool B – Rank 2, Rank 4, Rank 5, Rank 7
They then will be reseeded for the quarterfinals round, where Rank 1 vs. Rank 8, Rank 2 vs. Rank 7, Rank 3 vs. Rank 6, Rank 4 vs. Rank 5. From there, the top-4 teams will move to the semifinals round where they will play best-of-three matches followed by the gold and bronze medal matches.
