Madison Lilley Earns Open Division MVP Honors At Junior Nationals

2017 USA GIRLS’ 18S JUNIOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

There were over 200 teams competing at the 2017 USA Girls’ 18s Junior National Championships this past weekend. For many of them, it was the last time they would play in a club volleyball tournament of their young careers. A number of girls competing are now headed off to college to continue their playing careers.

Junior Nationals brought out some of the talent that we will see in the next four years of these young players collegiate careers.

The Junior National All-Tournament teams have been announced for each division of play.

Open Division

  • MVP: Madison Lilley (KC Power 18-1)

Lilley, a setter, will head off to Kentucky to play this coming season, but will first compete with the USA Volleyball’s High Performance program to play on the U.S. Women’s Junior National Team that will compete in the Women’s U20 Pan American Cup this May.

Lilley was also named to the 2016 AVCA Under Armour All-America First Team and Kansas’ 2016 Gatorade High School State Player of the Year.

Ballenger helped her team to a 9-0 weekend with a finals match defeat over Asics Louisiana in straight sets.

Crosley helped lead her team to an undefeated 9-0 weekend, with only one team scoring over 20 points on them all weekend – Ocala Power United 18 Rox.
