Player & Rookie of the Week
Alanis Alvarado, Saint Peter’s

Freshman outside hitter Alanis Alvarado had a stellar collegiate debut for the Peacocks this week, leading the team to two wins, the first wins for the team since 2015. The Puerto Rico native, led the Peacocks with 69 kills and 3.63 kills per set, 25 more kills than the next Peacock and over 1.3 mores kills per set than the next closest teammate. She also ranked second on the team in digs (74) and digs per set (3.89). In five matches, Alvarado recorded double figure kills in four, registered double-digit digs in three matches, posted two double-doubles, and recorded a 20-20 match. She became the first Peacock to post a 20-20 match since 2015. Her stellar performances at the Bucknell Invitational led to her earning All-Tournament team honors.

Libero of the Week
Morgan Owens, Marist
Fr. Ashburn, VA/Broad Run
Owens had a strong showing in her first collegiate matches this past weekend en route to all-tournament team honors at the Wildcat Classic. For the weekend the Virginia native tallied 48 digs, nine assists and six service aces. Against Davidson, she had 20 digs and four service aces. Her defensive plays were key in a comeback win against William & Mary.
