CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – American senior Aleksandra Kazala was named the Patriot League Volleyball Player of the Week while Loyola Maryland freshman libero Katie Forsythe was selected as the rookie of the week when honors were announced by the League office on Monday.
Lehigh’s Sabrina Lancaster, Lafayette’s Grace Tulevech, and Army West Point’s Ana Oglivie all received weekly honorable mentions.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Aleksandra Kazala, American, Sr., OH, Debica, Poland
* Kazala received double-doubles twice at the Fresno State Invitational against California Baptist (14 kills, 17 digs) and Fresno State (19 kills, 11 digs).
* Kazala also collected one service ace against Cal Baptist.
* The senior was selected to the All-Tournament team as the Eagles went 1-3 at the invitational.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Katie Forsythe, Loyola Maryland, Fr., L, Perry, Ohio
* Forsythe averaged 6.18 digs per set to continue leading the League in digs and digs per set early in the season.
* The rookie had 21 or more digs in all three of the Greyhounds’ matches this weekend, posting 22 in a four-set match against Air Force, 21 in a three-set win versus Binghamton and 25 in the finale against UT Arlington.
* She also had only two receiving errors in 51 passing chances off the serve.

* Lancaster finished last week with a .287 hitting percentage, 53 kills and 21 digs as the team went undefeated in the Crosstown Invitational.
Ana Oglivie, Army West Point, So., L, Kapolei, Hawaii
* Oglivie totaled 49 digs in three matches this past weekend in the West Point Invitational, while she was named to the All-Tournament team.
Grace Tulevech, Lafayette, Fr., OH, Morehead City, N.C.
* Tulevech collected 69 kills, 44 digs and nine service aces in five matches this past week.
