Micah Christenson

Micah Christenson is a setter from Honolulu, Hawaii. He attended University of Southern California and is a member of an Italian club team Cucine Lube Civitanova.

College Career

Christenson played for USC Trojans. In 2012, he was named the AVCA and Volleyball Magazine National Newcomer of the Year and he lead his team with 1,097 assists. He was also the only freshman to make the AVCA and Volleyball Magazine All-American second teams. Christenson was named a co-captain during his sophomore year of college. He led his team in assists, digs and aces. Christenson made the 2014 AVCA All-American first team and won the Off The Block Lloy Ball Award.

Professional Career

After his college career, Christenson moved to Italy to play for Cucine Lube Civitanova. His team took silver at the 2017 FIVB Club World Championships. They are also two-time bronze medalists at the CEV Champions League.

National Team Career

Christenson debuted for Team USA in 2013. He helped United States capture the NORDECA Championship titles in 2013 and 2017. Christenson was named the Best Setter and Server at the tournament in 2013 and the MVP of the tournament four years later. Christenson’s national team career was highlighted at the 2016 Olympic Games where Team USA took bronze after beating Russia 3-2 in the Bronze Medal match.
