Class of 2019 MB Gabby Murray Commits to Marist

Class of 2019 middle blocker Gabby Murray has verbally committed to the Marist College women’s volleyball program.

An attendee of Xavier High School in Appleton, Wisconsin, Murray is in her senior season and third year of varsity with the school according to her MaxPreps profile. So far this season, she has recorded 285 kills (3.2 per set) on a .333 hitting percentage, 70 digs (0.8 per set), 60 aces (0.7 per set) and 55 blocks (0.6 per set).

In total for her career now, she is over 700 kills while notching over 150 blocks, digs and aces.

Standing at 6’2″, Murray also plays with Wisconsin Volleyball Academy. Highlights from club play, where she hit .390, can be seen here via her Hudl page.

Marist now has three class of 2019 commitments that have been registered in the VolleyMob Recruiting Database. Murray joins setter Halle Carter and an even newer recruit in Andie Grace. In terms of players already on the team, Marist has four middle blockers with one set to graduate to open up a spot for Murray in 2019.

The Red Foxes are 8-8 to start the 2018 season and 5-1 as a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Last season they went 15-16 overall and 11-7 in league action.
