Colorado College Claims #1 DIII Ranking After Wittenberg Falters

Colorado College slid their way into the #1 position in the AVCA Division III Rankings this week, taking over Wittenberg who fell back to #4. Wittenberg was 18-0 in last weeks rankings but lost two matches over the week to two previously unranked squads – Carthage and Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Carthage eclipsed the top-25 into the #24 spot with the four-set win.

Johnson & Wales continues their undefeated streak, moving up to #10 in this week’s rankings with a 28-0 record. Stevenson also is making their way up in the rankings as a one-loss team – jumping from #19 to #15.

Falling back this week is Wisconsin-Whitewater from #9 to #16 along with Washington-St. Louis from #12 to #19 and Chicago from #15 to #20.

Entering this week’s rankings are Carthage, following their upset over then-#1 Wittenberg and Aurora.
