Colorado Set To Have 13 Matches Aired On Pac-12 Network In 2017

Colorado will have 13 matches, seven home and six away, featured this volleyball season on Pac-12 Networks. All 13 of those matches are against Pac-12 opponents.

The Buffs start the Pac-12 slate off on Sept. 22 with their first of three straight TV matches, beginning against Utah in Salt Lake City. CU will have a quick turnaround with its next game on Sept. 24 against 2016 NCAA Champion Stanford at Coors Events Center in Boulder.

CU will stay at home for the following two matches, hosting Oregon State and Oregon, the latter of which will be streamed online. The Buffs will pack their bags to hit the road for the following four contests, with the first three on TV. CU will start its road trip in Washington, first facing Washington State and then Washington. The next weekend CU will take on Arizona State and Arizona in the desert.

The Buffs will then head back home to face Southern California and UCLA to finish the first half of the conference schedule; both of those will be on TV.

The second half of the slate will start in the Pacific Northwest as CU will take on Oregon and Oregon State in a pair of non-televised contests. CU returns to Boulder the following week and will kick things off on Nov. 1, playing Washington State in Pac-12 Networks Women’s Volleyball Game of the Week, “Spike Night.” The Buffs will also face Washington two days later in yet another TV match.

CU will face the L.A. schools for the second time of the season the following weekend, UCLA first in a TV contest, and then USC, the first of three straight streamed matches. In the penultimate weekend of the season, the Buffs will host Arizona and Arizona State.

The Buffs end the regular season the following weekend; with both matches on TV. CU will face Cal for the only time of the season the day before Thanksgiving (Nov. 22) in Berkeley, Calif., and close the season on Nov. 24 hosting Utah.

Eight of the 12 conference teams made the NCAA Tournament in 2016. Besides Stanford, which won it all, Washington and UCLA both made the NCAA Region Finals, while Arizona advanced to the region semi-finals. Oregon and Washington State each made the second round of play, while Utah and USC both played in the first round.

At this point in time, none of CU’s non-conference matches will be televised on TV. The Buffs open the 2017 season in Norman, Okla. August 25-26 against Northwestern State, Seton Hall and Oklahoma. The following weekend, Sept. 2-3, they begin the home slate with their annual Omni Hotels Colorado Volleyball Invitational. CU will play host to Wake Forest, Rice and Abilene Christian.

Colorado will again play in the prestigious Pac-12/Big Ten Challenge, Sept. 8-9, in Champaign, Ill. The Buffs will face off against Penn State, a team that made the NCAA Region Semifinals, as well as Illinois.

The final weekend of non-conference action will see the Buffs splitting time between Boulder and Fort Collins, Colo. CU will host Xavier on Sept. 15 and onSept. 16, the Buffs will head north to face Albany and Colorado State, a 2016 NCAA Tournament team.

Season tickets are available for purchase and start at just $25 for general admission Kids 12 and under are free. There will also be a new general admission flex plan for $35. Fans who purchase this plan get 14 vouchers and can redeem any quantity for any of CU’s 14 home games.

Single match tickets will be available to purchase later this summer. General admission seats are $5, reserved seats are $8 and floor seats can be purchased for $10.
