Cornell’s Libby Schnoor Earns First DIII AVCA Player Of The Week

Libby Schnoor earns Cornell College their second-ever Division III Player of the Week after helping her team to a 4-0 weekend. The team’s wins included Webster, #3 Washington-St. Louis, #20 Hendrix and Dominican.

Overall for the week, Schnoor played in 15 sets, put down 5.27 kills per set on a .431 hitting clip and picked up 2.93 digs per set.

Schnoor’s stats for the week:

  • Webster – 18 kills on 32 attacks with two errors for a .500 hitting clip while adding three digs.
  • Washington-St. Louis – 22 kills on 45 attempts with three errors for a .378 hitting percentage, adding two assists, two blocks and 19 digs for a double-double
  • Hendrix – nine kills on 13 attempts with no errors for a .692 hitting clip, adding one ace and three digs
  • Dominican – 30 kills on 63 attempts and six errors for a .381 hitting clip, adding one assist, one ace, two blocks and 19 digs for a double-double

In the short season, Schnoor has already picked up two double-doubles on the year and never hit below .378 in any of the matches. Schnoor broke the program record for single match kills with her 30 kill performance against Dominican. Washington-St. Louis was the highest ranked team that Cornell College has ever beaten.
