In a dominant showing, Fenerbahce was able to take down Galatasaray in the Turkish Women’s Division I title series.

Fenerbahce did not drop a single set in the series to Galatasaray. It was a shock to see Galatasaray in the finals, as they took down Turkish favorite, Vakifbank in the semifinals – who went on to take third in the league after taking down Eczacibasi.

It was to no surprise to see Fenerbahce take down Galatasaray, as they have not taken a match from them all season, posting a season head-to-head record of 11-0.

In the first match of the finals, Fenerbahce swept Galatasaray 3-0, (27-25, 25-19, 25-18). The first set was the only real challenge in the match, with Fenerbahce taking control in the next two to win by six and seven. The second match of the series was another sweep 3-0, (25-20, 25-23, 25-21). Galatasaray kept things interesting with closer scores in the second meeting of the finals; however, were never able to take a set off Fenerbahce.

In the final match of the series, Fenerbahce completed a series sweep and set’s sweep, with a 3-0, (25-20, 25-18, 25-23) victory to claim first in the league.
